La Salle expects 'dogfight' against Adamson in UAAP Final 4

MANILA, Philippines - The De La Salle University Green Archers are brimming with confidence following a massive win over Ateneo de Manila University to end the UAAP Season 80 elimination round, yet they also remain wary of their opponents in the Final Four.

The Green Archers are up against a dangerous Adamson University team that finished with a 9-5 win-loss record. The Soaring Falcons dropped their final game of the eliminations against Far Eastern University (FEU), but they have had an entire week to recover from that loss as well as to minor injuries sustained by guards Jerie Pingoy and Jerrick Ahanmisi.

Thus, La Salle coach Aldin Ayo is expecting nothing less than a tough game when his Green Archers face off against the Falcons on Saturday at the Big Dome, with a spot in the UAAP Season 80 Finals at stake.

"It will be a dogfight," predicted Ayo, whose La Salle squad is armed with a twice-to-beat advantage over Franz Pumaren's Falcons.

"For sure, they're going to prepare against us," he added.
